    Production Team Lead

In our 137,000-sq. ft. facility we prepare (pack/assemble) our customers’ product to their specifications, so it is ready for the retail environment.     Job Overview:
    At Floor Ready Services, we provide high-touch product work, re-work, processing, assembly, disassembly, packaging, and shipping for our customers. At the heart of everything we do is our production team. We are looking for someone to join our company as a Production Team Leader!

    • The Team Leader will lead a team of 6-12 Process Operators to complete production orders on time and in compliance with customer specifications; this is a working production lead position, not an office job.
    • The Production Team Leader is responsible for creating an environment in which employees are involved, responsible, accountable, and self-motivated contributors.
    • The Team Leader will supervise and coach employees and be responsible for safety, quality, on-time performance, and productivity of their assigned area.
    • The Team Leader will report to the Production Manager.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supervise/enforce safety rules and ensure good housekeeping in area of responsibility
    • Check inventory of tools and materials for shift production, alert warehouse manager of discrepancies
    • Startup/shutdown applicable production equipment (shrink wrap, tapes machines, etc.)
    • Plan and build to the production work schedule, ensuring production goals are met daily
    • Plan and prepare for changeovers and communicate timing and needs to support staff
    • Prepack, pack, process, count and/or palletize product according to applicable work instructions and/or other production documents
    • Ensure all production documentation is completed properly and on-time
    • Communicate staffing needs, production or process problems, possible corrective actions and improvement suggestions to Production Manager and/or appropriate
    support staff
    • Train, develop and oversee team members on production and equipment standards and processes
    • Observe operator technique, quality, speed and overall performance and coach as needed to encourage and promote continuous improvement in all areas
    • Communicate company and department expectations to team members, providing positive reinforcement when met and coaching/counseling as necessary when not met
    • Conduct, provide input for, and/or participate in operator performance reviews when requested
    • Assist team members with resolving problems and advise Production Manager of complex issues
    • Treat all operators and team members with respect

    Qualifications:
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States (must pass E-verify) without company sponsorship now or in the future
    • Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
    • Able to problem-solve and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Cooperative and flexible with ability to quickly adapt to change
    • Able to set positive and goal-oriented tone in team environment through leading by example
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Able to coach others
    • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
    • Able to speak, read and understand English
    • Able to stand/be on feet for 8-10 hrs.
    • Able to lift up to 30lbs frequently

    Experience:
    • 3+ years leadership (required)
    o Examples: Crew Leader, Team Leader, Supervisor, Assembly Line Lead, etc
    • Military NCO experience highly desirable

    Physical Requirements:
    • Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (50lbs)

    Schedule:
    • First Shift
    • 7:30a-4:00p, Monday-Friday
    • Some (paid) overtime may be required
